Sheria Mattis is a Brooklyn-born comedian and writer. She's written for Reductress, Netflix is a Joke, Leslie Jones, and Fran Drescher.
Her comedy has been featured on OprahDaily, PBS, and NBC. She's been a finalist in the Funny Women Awards, winner of The Moth Storyslam, 2nd place in the Comedy Mob Stand-up competition, and is a featured performer in the Knockouts All Stars comedy showcase.
Sheria is the co-host of The StrapDown, a Black lesbian pop culture podcast with Aurea Young.
Producer & co-host of Gay Shame, a live, queer comedy show with Ely Kreimendahl. Featured in Time Out NY, Gay Shame showcases NYC’s best queer comics along with a shameful musical & dance parody of classic millennial cinema.
Sheria is a writer for the satirical news show Going Down with Ella Yurman.
She is developing her comedy web series Fibroids: A Love Story with CK Productions.
